GySgt Linkenhoger was the Tower Chief at MCAS Cherry Point from 12 Jun 06 to 19 Apr 07.

GySgt Linkenhoger deployed to Norway for Operations Strong Resolve and received the Naval Artic Service Ribbon. He then received orders again to H&HS MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. He was promoted to SSgt in May of 2000 and then transferred to H&HS MCAS Cherry Point in June 2002. After being reassigned to MACS-2 2nd MAW, he deployed with the 26th MEU to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in August 2004 and then returned to H&HS MCAS Cherry Point in April 2006 and then was promoted to his present rank in July.

GySgt Linkenhoger's awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Good Conduct Medal with three stars.

He was subsequently assigned as an instructor at the ATC School in Pensacola, Florida and is now retired from the Marine Corps.
