GySgt Brady was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Parris Island in June 2004, he headed to NAS Pensacola for ATC School and graduated in May 2005.
His first duty station was MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, where he achieved a Tower Supervisor rating. In June of 2007, he was transferred to Marine Air Control Squadron 2, Detachment Alpha at MCAS Beaufort, SC and then assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit as an ATC MMT member. This MEU, aboard the USS Nassau, was deployed from Mar 2008 - Nov 2008 to the souther Helmand province of Afghanistan.
In May 2009, Sgt Brady was sent back to NAS Pensacola as an instructor and while there was promoted to Staff Sergeant before tranferring again in Sep 2012 to MACS-2 Detachment Charlie. In May 2014 he was once again assigned to the 24th MEU, this time as an MMT Leader, he supported missions to Yemen, Oman, Djibouti, Israel and parts of Europe aboard the USS Iwo Jima until Jul 2015. Upon his return to MACS-2, he took on the responsibilities as Detachment Operations Chief and TERPS Specialist, subsequently being promoted to GySgt.
GySgt Brady's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd Award), the Meritorious Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award).
